An Extraordinary Man Journeyed to the Spirit World Today

An Extraordinary man, Harry Belafonte, journeyed to Spirit World today.

He was a Veteran (from swords to plowshares) a gentleman, and an ardent advocate for Human Rights and Self-Determination for All Oppressed peoples.

Harry supported the Treaty Rights of all Indigenous  Nations & came to the aid of the American Indian Movement (AIM) at Wounded Knee, South Dakota in 1973. He constantly appealed for Freedom for political prisoner Leonard Peltier! 🦬

He spoke against gang violence and allied himself with the Black Power movement, and Chicanos, the United Farm Workers (UFW) and Barrios Unidos in Santa Cruz.  Harry strived for Unity & Coalition building.  And needless to say, he was legend in the music industry! 

Harry Belafonte will be missed but not forgotten!  Prayers up & a big AJO! ✊🏽🦅🌵
